Sid Genetry Solar
If your inverter is running pre 1.1r2 (yet to be released at the time of this writing)... Please DO NOT take an update from the "Tech" (older: "Debug") channel...unless otherwise instructed to by Genetry Solar. This channel exists for experimental/test firmware...and if you take an update from this channel, it can potentially brick the inverter--or cause unexpected operation. (Note that your inverter may have been left on this channel when you received it.) This issue will be fixed in 1.1r2, where the inverter will automatically exit the "Tech" channel within 5 minutes of it being set it there (as well as not being persistent across power cycles). So how do we find out what we are running? I have yet to find that on the LCD.
Sid Genetry Solar
Out screen -> Diagnostic Info -> top 2 lines will indicate LCD version and CPU version. (Diagnostic Info is past the 'scope functions.) Might need to put it somewhere a bit more noticeable...like maybe on the splashscreen??? There is nothing past that on mine. 😜

Down again. "Reset KWH". Down again. "Diagnostic." Oh, for a manual...!

Oh, for a manual...! Well I got there but not that way. On mine it is Enter (right button when upside down) which takes you into the screen for AC Input Volts. Center button to get to Output Volts. Center button again to Reset KWH. Center button again to get to Diag Info. Then Enter to get the data. LCD is 1.1r0 while CPU is 1.1r1. 🙂

Hate it when that happens...but at least the CPU has the newer firmware. When I push 1.1r2 out, that'll correct it so they're both running the same version. If 120 Volts are applied to the inputs correctly, why will the unit not switch to ATS mode. I know it won't show anything on the scope or Voltage on the Stat screen as you do not have the latter enabled yet. But it affects both? And yes, I tried both the UPS and ATS modes but no go on either one. But at least it didn't fight me like someone else's. 😉

Umm........it should show up on BOTH the Input 'scope AND the OUT screen (top left box). Battery charge (and thus AC input) was enabled in 1.1r0. I'm wondering if your inverter doesn't have the (required) solder jumper on the input voltage select on the control board--without that assembly step completed, it will be blissfully ignorant of AC input voltage. I told Sean that battery charge wasn't needed on mine so that may be why. Didn't know that that would also affect the others. " If not, neither one for charging is needed. Sid Genetry Solar
Yeah, if you apply AC input to the input terminals, and there is absolutely no acknowledgement of it ('scope, top left of OUT screen...or even various numbers in the Diagnostic screen)...that would pretty clearly indicate that this solder jumper was not soldered during final assembly. The Blind Wolf
So are we getting a update this wekend? I'm waiting for a major update. Sean is getting all the fun 😛 Oh Windows, How I long for thee, to feel the smooth glass shatter, when a Angrey Penguin throws a rock at it. . . Linux rules, windows well shatters. . . Sid Genetry Solar
We're still trying to work out the kinks with parallel mode before releasing the update. It works fairly well right now, but can work better.
The Blind Wolf
Thats good, I can see, looking good. will this update have the hold down button and it makes it go into wifi setup mode by chance? Also, will have the Thing shipped out in the morning, already got a ride to ups and its already loaded. So sean should get it probley by wensday, if not thursday by the latest I'm guessing. Not yet, have instead been working on a mDNS / local server access, then lots of bugfixes/tweaks for parallel mode. One thing is for sure: it may definitely seem like I move slowly on projects...but I certainly am not lacking anything to do. Could add that function although it will not allow anything other than WiFi setup--no inverter configuration changing just yet. That's another long project.
